Services
Katherine Cabrera RDN
I understand that each person is an individual. What we eat is much more than fad diets, counting calories or starving yourself. What we eat is part of our culture, brings families together, provides comfort and is a big part of who we are. My nutrition counseling approach is to connect the elements of your diet with your lifestyle, culture and health goals in order to give you the tools for life-long healthy eating.
Sometimes life throws us a curve and your body needs special attention to keep healthy. If this is you, rest assured that I will diligently introduce the latest medical nutritional therapy, work with you and your doctors to customize a diet plan for the best possible health outcome.
So if your looking to get to a healthy weight or get to the next level in your fitness performance, we can make it happen together.

As a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and as the state of Tennessee Chairperson for Public Policy, I am working hard to influence the U.S. federal healthcare policy to recognize that nutrition counseling in an integral part of maintaining health and wellness. And more commonly and easily allow people to gain insurance coverage and expand MNT, similar to doctor wellness visits. Visit www.cms.gov/MNT

Generally, nutrition services are not fully covered by insurance; however, in some cases, insurance will reimburse a percentage of the service if deemed medically necessary. Please contact your insurance company directly prior to your appointment to determine whether or not you will receive reimbursement for a percentage of the cost of appointments. Please let me know you will need a service receipt if you plan to seek reimbursement by self-filing.
